The other day I thanked Missy Ann for something that I didn’t go into detail about. Well, it has arrived, and I’ve done some work, and now I can show you:
Missy Ann has been kind enough to lend me the chart I most wanted to stitch, Teresa Wentzler’s You Were Hatched. Thank you again, Missy Ann!
As you may remember, I have You Were Hatched, stitched by Zeb, as a needlebook from the Fantasy Exchange. I had wanted it very much before I got the exchange, but once I had it in person, that really solidified my desire to have a version I could hang in Baby Man’s room. And thanks to Missy Ann, I will be able to do that shortly.
I’d also like to thank all the generous ladies who have either traded, sold to me very inexpensively, or offered to send me for free several of the Teresa Wentzler charts I have been looking for. Well it is true that only the TW Designworks patterns are going out of print (Leisure Arts owns the rights to the others and can do with them as they please, and several are already out of print), I’m happy to be able to get my hands on whatever I can. The only one I’m looking for now that is discontinued and is not avaliable from POL is Peacock Tapestry. Wish me luck!
In other cross stitch news, Erica was kind enough to take me to stitching night at Gitta’s yesterday, and I had a great time. (Thank you again, Erica. And sorry again about getting you to turn the wrong way!) It is so nice to spend time with people who share your passion. I’, hoping that we will be able to do it again soon. It was also great to spend more than five minutes in Gitta’s. Next time I need to bring a longer shopping list! I just picked up some DMC to do the back of Sparkling Hearts in DMC (thanks to Mill Hill’s conversion chart), and a Mill Hill ornament kit (which is one of my big weaknesses).
And in knitting news, I’ve almost finished that Christmas gift I’ve been working on for months. It isn’t that big or complicated, it’s just that I haven’t been inspired. But, with some hard work, it will be done today, and I can wash and block it and get it ready to wrap. And then I can start on more gifts. Once my holiday knitting/crocheting/stitching is done, I’m going to knit this for me: Lily Cardigan. I had the yarn for it since about this time last year, so it is about time I get to it!
