We still have our condo up for sale, which means that I can’t really get started on my packing. (There is no place to pile boxes except in the living room/dining room, and that is a bad idea when you are trying to sell your home.) So, in order to feel like I’m still trying to prepare for the move, I’ve been doing some more decluttering. The other day, I dug out my all-but-forgotten-WIP bin and gave it a bit of a stir. Nothing made it into the donation bag, but I did find some projects that I’d like to finish up now that I have an idea of where they might go.
The first one I rescued was Lily of the Valley Fairy from Mirabila/Nora Corbett. I started this back in 2009, and I probably haven’t worked on it since. I’ve made a bit of progress on her hair and wing, and I am so glad I found her. She is lovely and will look right at home in my new craft room.
Have you ever come across a WIP you forgot about or wish that you hadn’t packed away? I’d love to hear about it.
Great find Heather. Love the colors.
Oh my goodness – so many forgotten WIPs that I cannot count! Love your fairy, so glad she will be resurrected.
Piękna wróżka! Lubię tą serię. Będzie piękną ozdobą pokoju.
Oh I probably have, but can’t remember them 🙂 Your fairy is a real beauty.
Oh my, what a wonderful fairy this is. Good that you could find her again, she deserves your attention 🙂
No forgotten WIPs here as I regularly go through my boxes of WIPs and UFOs in order to decide which one to take out for a while.
Lily of the Valley is a lovely fairy, she will be beautiful when she is finished.
I don’t have so many WIPs that have been put aside but I do have alot of charts which I have forgotten I have then I rediscover them again and wonder why I haven’t stitched them!
Glad you found her, she’s a beautiful fairy. I have that feeling with every piece I pull out the WIP box. Unfortunately, I don’t have that much stitching time so some languish while I finish the ones I’m working on. It would be so much easier if I didn’t have such a thing for BAPs!!
