Happy Space Exploration Day! ?‍??‍???

Okay, it is an unofficial holiday, but it is still fun to acknowledge nonetheless. And why today you may ask? Well, on this day in 1969 Neil Armstrong was the first man to set foot on the moon. That’s a pretty cool thing to celebrate. So, I made a card. 😉

How cool is that? I recently bought a Cricut Explore Air 2 (thank you Amazon Prime Day), and I am just loving it. I designed this card using images and fonts available through the Cricut design software, and I am so please! Okay, my gluing and assembly skills need some work, but he is still pretty cool. (If you have a Cricut you can access this project right here.)

I’ve still got so much to learn, but so far I’ve made a couple of cards, decorated my son’s sketch book, got a head start on Halloween decorations, and spent way too much money on supplies for a new craft. lol!

I’ll be sharing Cricut projects, tips, and more in the future. I’ve even been brainstorming ways to use it with needlework. Stay tuned!

Do you have a Cricut or a Silhouette machine? How do you use it? If not, do you have any memories of the moon landing in 1969? I’d love to hear about either or both. Please leave a comment below.

How fun! I can’t wait to see more of your new projects.

My only memory of the moon landing is a newspaper clipping my mom saved for my baby book. I didn’t come along until December of 1969 LOL.

I have a Silhoutte Portrait. I’ve used it some. Just not enough time, lol.

  3. Well done indeed!. I don’t think I can possibly remember the first moon landing – barely a year old at the time – but I wish I did!

Happy Space Exploration Day to you too!
We were living in Singapore when the moon landings happened. Mum was listening to the radio and explained to our Amah that there were men walking on the moon. The Amah looked at Mum as if she had gone mad and told Missy not to be so silly, it was just a play on the radio.

  5. I enjoy making cards! I don’t have a Cricut. I do have an embosser though, that will do die cuts. I do remember being glued to the black and white TV for the moon landing! I was still very young, but the importance of the event was a big deal in our house.
