A very spooky hello to all you Smalls Stitchers! Welcome to the October Smalls SAL check-in post! (On the correct Friday this time! Sorry about last week’s mix-up.)
On to the finishes!
This month I stitched up Just Nan’s Batty Boris, and I even finished him! Amazing! He is stitched on a wee piece of grey fabric I found hiding in my stash, and I used the called for DMC threads and Kreinik braid. The beads, little orange button, curlicue, and banner were all included in the kit. I stitched the front of Boris as per the pattern, but instead of repeating his face on the back, I stitched like a true backside.
What did you stitch this month? Are we going to see a whole pile of Halloween finishes, or have you already moved on to Christmas? Does seasonal stitching not float your boat at all? (See what I did there?) Head down toward the bottom of this post and share your finished small with us. Please be sure to use the permalink for your blog post and to use a picture of your finished small as your thumbnail.
The link list will remain open to new entries until about midnight Eastern time on November 3rd. So, you still have lots of time! And remember: for each month that you share a finished small you get one entry into the end of the year draw.
Next Month
The penultimate (don’t you just love that word?) Smalls SAL check-in will take place beginning Friday, November 24th. I think that is right in the middle of Thanksgiving weekend for you American stitchers, but don’t worry. The link list always remains open for at least one week so that everyone has time to add their links.
Happy stitching, my Smalls Stitcher friends! I’ll be thinking of you while I’m lying on beaches, seeing the sights, and eating great food. And I can’t wait to see what you’ve stitched this month.
