Smalls SAL – April 2015 Check-In

Hello, Smalls Stitchers! It is the final Wednesday of April and time to share our smalls! We had a great turnout last month. If you haven’t had a look, you can check out last month’s post here.

This month I decided to continue with the Christmas theme. The little kit I pulled out first was actually missing its perforated paper. I don’t remember stitching it, nor do I remember where I got the kit, so I was more than a little confused. It’s a good thing that I have a stash with, oh, just a few things I can stitch. 😉

Reindeer – Christmas design from Gitta’s in 2011

This is a little freebie design that I got from my LNS’ Christmas open house back in 2011. It was a complete kit, including a full skein of Anchor floss. Longtime readers may remember that I’m not a fan of Anchor, but this time I was pleasantly surprised. It stitched very smoothly, contrary to my past experiences. The metallic is PTB, which is always nice to stitch with, and the fabric is a 20 count Lugana with gold flecks. I stitched it with two stands over one thread for nice, dark coverage.
