The use of AI is a very divisive topic. AI can be a useful tool for learning, visualization, automation, and other non-creative tasks. However, the use of generative AI that takes the works of artists, writers, and other creatives and churns out slop is never acceptable.
To the very best of my ability, this blog will never feature any images or text generated via AI. It is possible that AI-based tools may be used for tasks like grammar checking given that this is becoming more and more difficult to avoid. However, I will never use AI to produce content, nor will I stitch or sew or knit or whichever other craft any patterns that were created using AI. Mistakes may happen as not all patterns/images are correctly labelled, but I will do my best to uphold my values.
I am not anti-technology nor do I believe that my beliefs are stuck in the past. Artists and other creatives deserve pay and recognition for their work, and AI is very quickly destroying the creative landscape of the Internet.
