The use of AI is a very divisive topic. AI can be a useful tool for learning, visualization, automation, and other non-creative tasks. However, the use of generative AI that takes the works of artists, writers, and other creatives and churns out slop is not acceptable.
Every word of every post on this blog is written by me. AI-based tools may be used for tasks like grammar and spell checking, however, I will never use AI to produce content. With regards to images, I will do my best to not use any AI-generated images. If I happen to use a junk journal kit that does have AI-generated images, I will clearly note it and also ensure that those images are not the focus of my project. It is also my intention to never feature a cross stitch, embroidery, knitting, or crochet kit that is AI-generated.
I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was in kindergarten, and the proliferation of AI-generated writing saddens me. Artists and other creatives deserve pay and recognition for their work, and AI is very quickly destroying the creative landscape of the Internet. Hopefully here you will still be able to find someplace that is human-made.
