A Trio of Stitch Alongs

Before I get into the meat of the post, I thought I would let you all know that today has been better.  Canada Post has lost a cheque that was mailed to me and I spent the night sleeping on Baby Man’s floor, but overall it has been a better day.  Anyway, on to the stitching!

It seems that this is the season of X-Alongs.  As you may remember, I’m facilitating a stitch along on the TW board.  I’d share a picture of my Sewing the Seeds, but I haven’t worked on it since I last showed you my progress.

I’m also taking part in Kris Knit’s Knit-Along.  Six times a month she will be posting lines from a new dishcloth pattern, and if you know Kris Knits, you know they are always fabulous.  You can find the first post for January here.  I’ve started it using Lily Sugar ‘n Cream in colour Soft Teal.

Kris Knits Knit-Along - January Part 1

Okay, dishcloths aren’t very interesting.  But, honestly, I’ve found that a hand knit dishcloth made of cheap kitchen cotton works better than anything I’ve ever bought in the store.  And the more you wash them the better they get.

The third thing I am participating in is the Crochet-Along of Planet June’s new pattern Groundhog.  If you are interested, there is a group set up on Ravelry here.  I haven’t checked my stash yet, but I will probably be using Bernat Satin in colour Mocha.  I’ve already ordered some eyes from Planet June’s shop for it (and for the sea turtle I am working on right now).  I’ll probably get started on the groundhog in a week or so.

If you decide to join any of these X-Alongs, please let me know.
