Today is Turtle Trot update day. This month I’ve been focusing on Carolyn Mitchell’s Creative Persuasion, and I think I’ve made some good progress.
There is actually some stitching with one thread in the middle section, but it is very difficult to see. It is meant, says Carolyn, just to give a small bit of different colouring to that section. But, to be honest, I can barely see it, even up close.
I’ve also been working on the collaboration design from my LNS. The top section, designed by Jeanette Douglas, is finished.
The threads are DMC and Gloriana. And there is a bunch of Mill Hill beads scattered around. The next section was designed by Laura Dickson of Enchanting Lair and will have the word “Stitching” in the centre.
Pretty good progress for around two weeks work, eh? I’m still recovering from my latest cold, so I’ve spent more time stitching and less time doing errands. (Un)Fortunately, I’m getting better, so it will be back to the regular schedule soon.
Those stitches are very attractive – I love the different textures it creates. Hope you feel better soon. x
We have to figure out a way to get you to a stitching gathering. Would some night other than Tuesdays be better? Maybe a Saturday afternoon some time?
Beautiful work! Creative Persuasion is going to be stunning! I am curious if Friends Stitching Together is available to buy (for those of us who are a tiny bit too far away…LOL)
Both pieces look great.

Great progress, I love the different stitches on the Creative Persuasion and the collarboration is lovely.
Lovely progress on both pieces. I suppose there has to be a positive to this nasty flu bug travelling around 🙂
They’re both very pretty projects! I hope you’re feeling better now.
Great progress, that needlework piece is interesting.
Only a true stitcher would be disappointed about getting better, lol. Your projects look wonderful!
Nice progress! I love the greens and purples of the first project. Darn, why does real life have to get in the way of fun stitching?
Thanks for you comment on my blog, your Madam name is decent at least 😉
