Personalized for School

We are just a few days from school starting up again, and I for one couldn’t be more excited. Sure, I love having my son home for the summer but I’m always happy to have him back at school and everyone on a regular schedule. I love hearing about what he is learning, and I also love having my time to myself again. 😉

As I mentioned a couple of times, I got myself a Cricut Explore Air 2 on Prime Day. It is essentially a little CNC machine that I can use to cut vinyl, cardstock, window clings, and a bunch of other materials. It has opened up a whole new world of crafting for me (and also necessitated the purchase of a bunch of new craft supplies…) We decided to make good use of it and personalize some of my son’s new school supplies.

Hedgewars pencil box

We decorated a simple pencil box with a character from a video game that he loves to play. The image was converted for me by a lovely lady in a Facebook group.

My skill at lining things up needs to be improved, but I think everything looks pretty good for a beginner. 😉 This image came from the Hedgewars Wiki.

Water bottle with controller

We added a controller image to his water bottle, as well as his name on the other side. This image came from Cricut’s own design library.

And, I also broke out the embroidery machine for the first time in ages to make a new patch for his backpack.

With cool school supplies like this you know it is going to be a good year. 😉 ?
