Sometimes packages don’t always show up on time, but, then again, sometimes they manage to show up just when they should. My package from the ornament exchange I took part in on Ravelry was mailed a little late by my spoiler. She explained why and apologized, and I was more than happy to wait. With the slow mail service due to the holidays, and the fact that Canada Post has taken three additional days off in the past two weeks, I was sure the package wouldn’t arrive before I took my tree down. But yesterday afternoon, after having removed no more than a handful of ornaments from the tree, the package arrived!
A package tailored perfect to me. Isn’t the tape measure cool? My spoiler (grasshopper1) made it just for me! (I’m a big fan of H.P. Lovecraft, even though I’m not a horror fan otherwise.) She also made the snowflake ornament, which is just stunning. It was well worth the wait.
And thank you for all the comments on the cat hat and socks yesterday. I love the hat too, and I kinda wish I could keep the socks for myself. 🙂
I love those crocheted snowflakes! I bought a set of six two-inch ones at a church bazaar years ago, and they’re among my favourite ornaments to hang.
Count me among those who love that pair of socks you posted yesterday, too. 🙂
All the best for 2011 to you and the family!
Cute ornaments. I love the tape measure!
