Ornament SAL – February Check In

It is ornament sharing time again! I hope you all found lots of time to stitch this month. We were socked in pretty good with a snow storm for a few days, and coupled with Baby Man being home sick from school before that, I had lots of time to stitch. (Ignoring the fact that I was supposed to be resting my arm…)

My ornament for this month is Oh Holey Knight by Jennifer Aikman-Smith of Dragon Dreams. It is from the 2000 edition of the Just Cross Stitch ornament issue. It is stitched as charted, except for making the “H” on “OH” just a little bit smaller. It is stitched on another piece of Enchanting Lair’s Meadow. I think it is 28 count Lugana.

It is a really cute and funny, but it was a bit of a pain to stitch. #4 braid is not my favourite thing to stitch with, especially since I usually use PTB now. And stitching with #4 braid on hand-dyed fabric is even more of a pain, since it is so soft. But, the end result is great!

Angela M. is still resisting the siren call of a blog (and still recovering from her operation), so I’m very happily sharing her ornament again. For February she stitched Witch’s Footwear by Imaginating, from the September/October 2012 Just Cross Stitch.

How did your February stitching go? Please share your ornament with all the other SAL participants by filling in the form below. And, please, take a moment to visit some of the other participants. Half the fun of having a blog is the comments from others! If you haven’t got a blog but still want to share your ornament, send me an email. The more the merrier!

(Also, as an aside: I’m looking for a Just Nan’s Pumpkin Pockets. If you have the chart and would live to trade or sell it, please let me know.)

Congrats on fine ornaments to you both! I have been eyeing those Dragon Dreams ornies for years in JCS and so far I’ve only stitched one. How pathetic am I? Maybe in your honor I’ll have a DD ornie month next month. ๐Ÿ™‚

I re-submitted my link, as it didn’t appear to be working. Loretta’s link doesn’t work for me, either. Not sure if it’s me/my computer, or what?
