Colouring Giveaway

Adult colouring is one of the biggest trends going right now. And, to be totally honest, I’m not the best at colouring, but I do still enjoy it.

Coloured bookmarks

Coloured bookmarks

For the past few weeks I’ve been working on these really fun bookmarks. They are a freebie from Dawn Nicole Designs, and you can find them here. I used Prismacolor Scholars on plain old printer paper. (I’m sure the real artists among you are cringing!) Once I was done, I cut them out, affixed them to construction paper using double-sided tape. I then placed them inside a self-laminating sheet (3 for $2 from the dollar store), and cut them apart. Hopefully they will be sturdy enough to withstand years of reading.

That brings me to my giveaway! I love to colour, and I’m betting some of you do too. There may be some of you who’d like to colour, but just don’t know where to get started. So, I’m giving away a little colouring kit. Included is a package of 24 Crayola coloured pencils and issue #1 of Relax With Art magazine.

I loved to color as a child…mostly paper dolls, but really almost anything. I did lots of doodling and coloring during classes as I got older (maybe I should have been paying attention to the classes more, but, oh well, the coloring was more fun. Now I just color with my grandson, but would love to do more “adult” designs too. Thanks for the chance in your fun giveaway!

I love your bookmarks! I think cross stitch is a bit like colouring with floss. Please don’t include me in your draw as I have a colouring book and crayons, just wanted to say how much I liked your bookmarks.

What a great idea. I have seen various coloring books but just haven’t jumped into the this yet.
My hope is that this activity would help me become
more free in whatever artistic ability I might have or
be able to develop. Kudos to you for helping
    to get the ball rolling.

I loved colouring as a child and still do. I did a lot of the Doodleart posters including the six foot door one which I posted on my blog a while back.
I also loved the Altair design books.
We have a whole table of these books in the shop where I work so please don’t add me in the draw as I have already bought myself some.
I wouldn’t say No to a coloured-in bookmark if you had a spare one LOL.

  9. Anna says:

I was always a big fan of Altier Designs books. Once I had to watch my friend’s six year old daughter, so I bought her a Altier Designs book and got out my colored pencils. It was such a treat when she realized the designs repeated and then she started coloring accordingly. 🙂

Thanks for the link to the bookmarks. Those will make cute little add-on gifts for the holidays. Coloring? I loved to color as I child – anything and everything (sometimes things that weren’t supposed to be according to Mom). I did several of the doodle art pieces as a teen. I was thrilled when DSon was old enough, we’d sit and color together for hours.

I was just saying the other day I need a bookmark, and now I can get one for free. As a child I loved coloring books, coloring anything. I always took my time and made sure to really stay in the lines and I liked signing my pages when I was done and putting them on the refrigerator. I would love to win this!!!!

Hi what an awesome giveaway when I was a child I used to love the giant coloring books we used to get for Christmas the ones that were bigger than I was it would take me many days to finish one page! I now like to sit and color with my grandchildren they have many character based coloring books Star Wars, Doc McStuffins, Monster High, etc… my grands get amazed of how well grandma can color within the lines lol!

When I was a kid I colored everything I could get my hands on (and some things that weren’t meant to be colored on too, but that is another story!) Coloring books, paper scraps, the newspaper funnies, magazines, you name it! I also drew and wrote my own stories, too from the time I was old enough to write. It was my favorite thing to do!!
