Over the past couple of weeks we’ve seen how yarn is spun and dyed. Today, I thought we could see how DMC makes embroidery thread.
DMC began life under a slightly another name in 1746 when it was founded by Jean-Henri Dollfus. It was later renamed Dollfus-Mieg et Compagnie (DMC) on March 21, 1800. It has been a textile company since the start, but the cotton floss we all know and love wasn’t produced until 1899.
