I’ve been stitching again! I’m not sure why, but the stitching bug bit again this weekend and I’ve finally started putting needle to fabric again. Actually, that isn’t true. I do know why. The next Smalls SAL check-in happens this Friday, and I didn’t have anything done. (If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I have a back-up plan or two.)
I’ve done a bit more of the background for the Enchanted Ornaments Stocking that I am making for myself. I’ve also added the holly and mistletoe berries on the one side. But there is still sooooooo much more to do. I’m pretty sure I won’t have a pretty new stocking this coming Christmas Eve. (Can you believe it is only 152 days until Christmas?!)
I’m also back to work on the Hygge Shawl, a free CAL from Scheepjes and Haak Maar Raak. The yarn is Scheepjes Stone Washed (the heathered grey background yarn) and Catona (the brightly coloured yarn used for emblishement). I just adore this shawl, not only because looking at it brings me joy (says the KonMari devotee), but also because it combines crochet and cross stitch, two things I love. 😀
Don’t forget! The Smalls SAL check-in is in a few days. Don’t be like me and realize at the last minute you are missing a couple of threads. That means the mystery from the other day will have to stay mysterious for a while longer. 😉
That shawl does look stunning. Happy Stitching!
You could always crop the photo of the stocking and use the ornament as a small!
The shawl is gorgeous, love the colours.
I’ve missed the last few check ins for the Smalls SAL. I’ve been busy busy. Glad to see you have made some stitching progress though. Both projects look fantastic. Hopefully I will be able to join in again soon. I missed the SAL but I did enjoy a finish this month.
Your hygge shawl is FANTASTIC!
