I’ve been very quiet this week. It is like I have been blocked. There are ideas I’d like to explore and things I’d like to say, but the words just aren’t coming out. And here I thought November was going to be a creative month for me. Anyway, here is this week’s Friday Five.
1. Do you like to shop? Why or why not?
I like to shop for some things, like books, but in general I don’t like to shop at all. Shopping for clothes is probably the worst, because I feel like nothing looks right on me. I don’t mind browsing, or shopping on a quiet day. Mostly, I just want to be left alone while I shop.
2. What was the last thing you purchased?
I picked up three books at the used bookstore a couple of days ago, but I’m not sure they count since it was a trade in. The last thing I bought was a pair of pants from Reitmans. I haven’t worn them out yet though, and it’s been almost a month.
3. Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why?
Where I like to shop depends what I’m buying. Most books I prefer to purchase online, although I do like to see some of them before I buy them. I will also buy some software online. Just about everything else I prefer to buy at an actual store, so I can check out the item before I buy it.
4. Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it?
No, I didn’t get an allowance. I did usually get some money when I asked for it though. Of course, I never really asked for a lot, so it wasn’t much of an issue.
5. What was the last thing you regret purchasing?
Off the top of my head, I would say a great pair of high-heel boots I bought back in January. I love them, but I’ve never worn them out. I don’t think they suit me at all.
