Well, it looks like we got the apartment. I just heard from someone at the main office for the rental company. She was a bit concerned that I’m not working and wants a co-signer for me. I’m really not sure why, since quanta makes more then enough money to support the both of us. And really, it sort of lowers my feeling of self-worth. I need to get a job. People don’t seem to respect women who don’t work.

Sarah has the same problem – even with the number of moms she knows, there is this huge self-worth issue if you choose not to work. Its bizarre, and wrong, IMO.
