Things are pretty silent here at the Pond. But the raindrops sure look pretty.
I am slowly, every so slowly, recovering from the dreaded spring cold. It has kept me asleep nearly constantly since Sunday night. Even now my eyes are slowly falling closed. Honestly, this is the strangest cold I have ever had. My body just wants to sleep. It does matter that I slept eight hours last night, and that I’ve already had a two hour nap this morning. It’s time for bed! it’s screaming at me, and I don’t think I will be able to fight it much longer. The cat, Isis, seems to really enjoy having someone to snuggle up to during her 50+ naps a day. I’m glad someone is happy. Personally, I just want to get better so I can get back to working on some essay ideas I have floating around in my head. Although, sleeping through a cold is a lot better then having to blow one’s noise every two minutes or coughing up a lung. 😛
I suppose, on the plus side, I’m missing all this rain we are having this week. The pond in the park behind us has well overflowed its banks. If it wasn’t for my overpowering need to sleep, I’d walk over and take some pictures. The water is such an amazing shade of blue. It makes me wonder if all ponds and lakes would be that colour if we humans didn’t disturb them all the time.
And quanta, sweetie, I don’t think I will get much done today. Sorry.
