I’m always a little sad when something doesn’t turn out the way I pictured it.
This is a cathedral window pin cushion. I used these instructions, which are quite good. Unfortunately, my sewing skills are still a bit lacking, and I don’t always get everything right.
Yeah, it does look okay, but that is only because I stuck on the big honking button. If you look really close at the top triangle shape, you’ll see some jaggies. That’s the pinked edge of the charm square that should have been under the rolled over black around the edges. Next time (and there will be a next time!), I’ll know to make sure to have the points of the charm square triangles up closer to the centre.
Still, this is a great little pattern, and doesn’t really take to long to make. I’ve got a bunch more charm squares kicking around, so I know I will make more.
