New Bags

Ack! I took another break from sock knitting! (I’ve got two weeks to knit the first pair of socks. It is supposed to be done as quickly as possible, but I get distracted so easily!)

Reversible Tote Bag

I made myself a reversible tote bag using some of my favourite fabric. The pattern comes from a free Craftsy class called Bag Making Basics: Reversible Tote and Zipper Pouch. If you are interested in taking it yourself head over here and scroll down to the bottom of the page. (You’ll see a tonne more free classes for everything from sewing to knitting to chocolate making. Yum!)

The interior fabric is from the same collection as the exterior. I love it too. 😉

And, I made myself a little zippered pouch too.

Zipper pouch!

I love the green zipper I picked. It is hard to tell from this picture (imagine me shaking my fist at the sun), but it is a light green that nearly matches the lightest interior colour of the leaves/vines. It looks lovely.

I’m so pleased with how both these bags turned out, and with my new-found proficiency with my zipper foot. I suspect I will be making more of both these bags in the near future.

Love both bags. Thanks for the link to the class – these will make great gifts for my sister.

Gorgeous bag and pouch! Funny – I love that fabric too. I think there’s a fair bit of it in my stash, too. I may have made you a couple of things with it too. 🙂

Enjoy your new toys (including the zipper foot)! 🙂
