What to Say?

So, I’ve done something I said I would never do – I started a blog. It’s been a nerdy month for me. First a domain, then a website (which, admittedly had been in the works since November), then my nick register on Esper.net, and now a blog. How much lower can I go? I suppose I could finally finish studying for my A+ and CCNA. *sigh*

Reflections isn’t working quite right, but it’s up. The archive pages are a mess, so I haven’t linked to them. Also, the comments and Trackback windows are plain. Some work must be done to them. Will I get around to it? Well, that remains to be seen.

Things to do this week (or next…):

  • Get the archive pages working
  • Make the comments windows pretty
  • Think of something worthwhile to say
  • Make it through the week without chucking the computers out the window

I don’t have high hopes.

Site Plans

This website was begun on Samhain 2002, and I hope to have it in a postable form within a year. It’s purpose is to provide a reference for Wiccans and other magickal people.

I started this site by writing my Tarot course. I picked Tarot to begin with because it is one of my main areas of study right now. Yesterday I bought another new Tarot deck, the Robin Wood Tarot. I’m really looking forward to relearning everything I can about the Tarot, and I thought that it would be a good idea to take what I learn and create a course from it. Everything is in the planning stages still, although I do have a few sample lessons created. I’m still bouncing ideas around, like how I am going to find cards to illustrate my lessons, what questions to ask, etc.

When I am satisfied with my Tarot section, I’m planning on creating a Wicca 101 course. I know there are a lot of them out there on the Internet, but I’m hoping to make mine something special. I’d like to include more information about general spirituality and Simple Living. I’m writing down lots of notes from the books I have been reading recently. I have a feeling that my suggested reading page is going to be really long.

Well, I hope I can meet my goal of having these pages in good form in a year. But life has a way of happening, and I won’t be disappointed if it takes me longer. I have lots of ideas of what I’d like to include, and how I’d like to present the information. This is likely to be the flashiest page on my site. And this journal should be an interesting look back for me once the site has taken more shape. I don’t think it will ever be “done”, but I hope I will know when it is ready.
